Local Priorities Mobile phone theft Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

At our most recent St. George's ward panel meeting, residents had raised the emergence of phone theft in and around WEST SQUARE, electing it as one of the priorities tasked to us. I want to reassure you that the Safer Neighbourhoods Team understands the impact, frustration of the incidents, and we emphasise with this. We have been increasing the uniform presence in the immediate and surrounding area so as to provide a visible deterrence against phone thefts and are doing more.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
